This parameter is used to retrieve or set the number of Power-up cycles for the device. Some devices may only support the retrieval of this parameter and not allow the device’s power - up cycles to be set.

This parameter is used to retrieve a variety of information about the device that is normally required by a controller.

This parameter instructs devices such as dimming racks that monitor load changes to store the current value for monitoring sensor changes.

This parameter is used to retrieve basic information about the functionality of the DMX512 slots used to control the device. The response is a packed list of Slot Label ID’s referencing into the Slot Labels table.

Perform Self Test

This message is used to execute any built in Self-Test routine that may be present. The test may run continuously until receiving a message with a SELF_TEST_OFF value, or may exit upon completion.

DMX512 Personality

This parameter is used to set the responder’s DMX512 Personality. Many devices such as moving lights have different DMX512 “Personalities”. Many RDM parameters may be affected bychanging personality.

Proxied Devices Count

|
This parameter is used to identify the number of devices being represented by a proxy and whether the list of represented device UIDs has changed.

This parameter is used to change the language of the messages from the device. Supported languages of the device can be determined by the Language Capabilities.

Communication Status

The Communication Status parameter is used to collect information that may be useful in analyzing the integrity of the communication system.

Queued Message

The Queued Message parameter shall be used to retrieve a message from the responder’s message queue. The Message Count field of all response messages defines the number of messages that are queued in the responder. Each Queued Message response shall be composed of a single message response.

This parameter is used to collect Status or Error information from a device.
